Barbara Tint

Barbara Tint, PhD is a Professor of Conflict Resolution at Portland State University and the University of Oregon, USA.  She also works as a consultant, facilitator, mediator and trainer in a variety of worldwide contexts including Australia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, France, India, Israel/Palestine, Kenya, Rwanda and Sri Lanka.  She has trained multiple groups worldwide in the practice of intergroup dialogue, intercultural conflict resolution and dynamics of status and power.  Barbara has participated in improvisational theater since 2009 and incorporates its principles and techniques into her work. She has conducted trainings on Improv for Dispute Resolution in Law Schools, Medical Improv in Medical Schools and Conflict and Improv in University Graduate Programs. She has published widely, including an article on the use of Applied Improv for humanitarian training for disaster preparededness and response. She is convinced that improv can save the world.
